Jennifer Lawrence Guest Hosted ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ And The Entire Thing Was Absolutely Funny AF

Jennifer Lawrence Guest Host Jimmy Kimmel

YouTube - Jimmy Kimmel Live

Jennifer Lawrence was Thursday night’s guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live and as far as I am concernd Kimmel can just stay wherever he’s at because J-Law absolutely killed it in pretty much every way that she could have.

It began with a funny little bit where Lawrence, who loves to curse (and we love her for it), came to the realization that she wasn’t going to be able to drop F-bombs during the show…

Next, Lawrence did the obligatory monologue, which wasn’t horrible, but eventually ended up with her taking to the streets to ask random strangers to name five movies that she has appeared in…with very mixed success. A few were able to name five films, most notably Guillermo, but others struggled including a dad who has no idea who he is talking to and a woman who is a huge fan of Jennifer Aniston. (Who isn’t?)

Then, finally, the big moment of the show was when Lawrence got to sit down and fangirl over the star of her favorite TV show, Kim Kardashian.

And while I, and many of you, are certainly not fans of KimKSuperstar, the interview was absolutely entertaining as hell as at one point they talked about how drunk Lawrence was when she came over to Kris Jenner’s house for dinner and at some point in the evening Lawrence ended up naked in Kim’s closet.

Lawrence also brings up Reggie Bush (Kim’s ex), which Kardashian sister lost her virginity first, the weirdest thing Kanye does, and if Kim has spoken to O.J. Simpson.

Such a good interview…

Gordon Hayward Fighting Back Tears Describing Seeing His Mother Crying After His Injury Is Moving

After writing an articulate, honest and in-depth recollection of his gruesome injury he suffered in the first few minutes of his Celtics debut, Gordon Hayward sat down The Today Show’s Matt Lauer to speak about his injury and the physical and emotional pain that comes with it. My takeaway from the interview is that the 27-year-old All-Star is just a solid dude, through and through.

A particular segment of the interview that demonstrates Hayward’s character is when he recalled seeing his mom crying in the crowd crying. Fighting back tears, Hayward reveals that as a parent to two young children himself, you never want your children to go through that. The most emotional part of the interview wasn’t Hayward describing how his long-anticipated debut in Boston was shattered, at least for the foreseeable future, but how much it hurt him to see his parents affected. Moving stuff, check it out below.

You can watch the entire interview below.

Schwarzenegger Nearly Lost ‘Terminator’ Role To OJ Simpson But He ‘Didn’t Look Like A Killer’

One of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first breakout acting roles was in 1984’s The Terminator, but he reveals that he almost didn’t get the iconic role as the time-traveling robot assassin. Decades later, Arnold revealed that he almost didn’t get his T-800 role in The Terminator because it almost went to O.J. Simpson. On the upcoming episode of OBJECTified, Schwarzenegger told TMZ’s Harvey Levin about The Terminator and about cheating on his wife.

The actor and former California governor said Terminator Orion Pictures co-founder Mike Medavoy originally wanted O.J. Simpson as the homicidal cyborg. However, Simpson didn’t get the role because… Simpson didn’t “look much like a killer.” Arnold said, “He did not look as much of a killer and all that stuff. I don’t know, I mean it just felt like I was more believable in being the machine.”

Oh. Director James Cameron disagreed and cast Schwarzenegger.

Another ancedote from the interview is that Schwarzenegger feels deep regret after his affair with his housekeeper. The affair with his longtime maid Mildred Baena, resulted in their secret love child, the 20-year-old Joseph. After the extramarital affair with the housekeeper was made public, Maria Shriver filed for divorce in July 2011. However, to this day the divorce was not finalized. The couple never signed a prenup and Schwarzenegger has a net worth of $400 million.

“I do not need any time to reflect, when I know it was a major, major screw up,” Arnold said. Schwarzenegger and Shriver got married in 1986 and had four kids; Katherine, 27, Christina, 26, Patrick, 24, and Christopher, 20. The OBJECTified interview airs on Sunday at 8 pm on Fox News.

Instagram Model Exposes LeBron James For Allegedly Sliding Into Her DMs With Corny Ass Game

NO ONE IS SAFE. For the most part, LeBron James has been controversy-free in his 15 year career. Sure, he looked like a boner with The Decision, but when you consider Jordan was widely known to be a degenerate gambler in the pre-social media age and Kobe had that ugly sexual assault saga, LeBron’s biggest knock is being a total cornball on social media. Not a bad categorization, especially when you consider Latrell Sprewell choked out his own coach.

Sure, a couple years ago James was outed sliding into the DMs of Rachel Bush, the fiancee of Buffalo Bills’ Jordan Poyer. But hey, he was just saying ‘hey, what’s up!’ I don’t see an issue with that, do you, Ray Allen?

Deadspin

Didn’t think so.

Well, most recently, King James was betrayed by Instagram model and avid hunter, Heidi Hoback. Hoback, who has 108,000 Instagram followers, screenshotted the DMs James allegedly sent her and outed him harddd.

Instagram

An ‘Lol’ at your own question, dude? You’re one of the best basketball players to ever live, LeBron. Quit sending DMs that are the equivalent of a snot-nosed middle schooler sliding a note to his crush in sex-ed class.

Now this is where I lose a lot of respect for Heidi.

She posted another screenshot of LeBron’s messages to her, but decided that the paragraphs of texts she sent him are irrelevant. Three unanswered messages in a row, Heidi? Who’s the real thirsty one here?

Instagram

‘No freaking way.’ Really LBJ. Please re-attach your scrotum and try again.

I think it’s time to give Heidi what she wants: attention. I am part of the problem.

Tom Savage Admits DeShaun Watson Is So Much Better Than He Is

On Thursday, the Houston Texans season essentially ended after DeShaun Watson tore his ACL during practice. Watson is the member of the team to be placed on the injured reserve list,  joining JJ Watt and Whitney Mercilus.

The Texans announced Watson would be replaced by Tom Savage, a quarterback who has repeatedly failed to live up to his awesome last name. Savage was the starting QB at the beginning of the year but was benched after a disastrous performance in the season opener.

Watson went on to capture the hearts and minds of fans and fantasy players around the league after his explosive debut, and it appears Savage has come to terms with the fact that he’s an inferior quarterback. He spoke with ESPN’s Jeff Darlington and admitted he probably won’t be able to match Watson’s level of play when he takes the field:

“You can’t replace Deshaun Watson. The kid has been playing absolutely lights out. My job is to just help out… I’m just going to state the obvious: There’s things he can do that I can’t do.”

The Texans will face off against the Colts on Sunday in a battle of mediocre replacement quarterbacks that won’t do anything to help the NFL’s falling ratings.

Washington State Police Seeking Felony Charges For USC Player Who Trucked Fan Running On Field

Early on in the college football season, Washington State fans celebrated their upset win against previously unbeaten USC by rushing the field. Unfortunately, one Wazzu fan got laid out by USC defensive lineman Liam Jimmons which was captured on video.

That USC player is now facing felony charges after the Wazzu fan had to go to the hospital after suffering a concussion

Via KXLY news

The WSU student that got hit has been to the hospital twice for a concussion suffered from the alleged assault. Because of the seriousness of the injury, WSU police want Jimmons to be charged with felony second degree assault. The case has been turned over to the Whitman County Prosecutor’s Office for a charging decision. Jimmons has appeared in five games for USC this season.

USC’s coach Clay Helton said Jimmons had been disciplined for his actions but didn’t specify what the punishment was.

Julian Edelman Used To Date Jerry Rice’s Daughter Jacqui, Because Of Course He Did

Remember last year how we told you that Jerry Rice’s lovely and talented daughter Jacqui Rice was planning on following her dad’s footsteps a little bit by signing up to play for the LFL? No? Well, where have you been? C’mon now…

Anyway, I figured that might be the first and only time we’d be talking about her here on this website. Her singing career has seemed to stall out, so unless she suddenly started dominating the LFL I figured that would be the last we’d hear of her.

Turns out I was wrong, thanks to Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman writing a memoir called Relentless.

For you see, in Edelmen’s memoir Relentless, he reveals that at one point in his life he was dating none other than THE GOAT Jerry Rice’s daughter Jaqui.

Boston.com shared several excerpts from the book, including this one…

Julian’s high school girlfriend was Jaqui, a girl who he met in eighth grade. She lived up the street from him, so he’d usually ride his bike to her house, and then they would go to Taco Bell or play driveway basketball. But Edelman was terrified of actually going inside her house because Jaqui’s dad was none other than former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jerry Rice.

“He was a god to me,” Edelman writes. “The first time I saw him, we were shooting hoops and he came out on the front steps, no shirt on, all yoked up, gold chain, six-pack abs. I was shook, and I think that might have been the point Jerry didn’t really talk to me and never talked to me about football.”

Even after he had made the Patriots and came back to visit Jaqui following his rookie season, Edelman says Jerry didn’t acknowledge the game. They both attended the 2017 Kentucky Derby, so while at the horse race, one of Edelman’s Patriots teammates couldn’t help but make a comment.

“I hear Jules spent a lot of time at your house when he was a kid,” quarterback Tom Brady joked.

Edelman says Jerry laughed, though he’s not sure if he actually found it funny.

That Tom Brady, such a jokester.

Now as far as Edelman having the stones, even back in high school, to date the daughter of arguably the greatest NFL player of all time?

Doesn’t surprise me even onelittlebit.

Obstacle Is The Way Book

Ryan Holliday dropped out of college at nineteen to apprentice under Robert Greene. Yes, that Robert Greene, the author of The 48 Laws of Power. Naturally, Holliday learned a ton and went on to advise many bestselling authors and multiplatinum musicians.

In his book The Obstacle Is the Way: The Timeless Art of Turning Trials into Triumph, Holliday breaks down how the things standing in our way are actually the best thing to happen to us.

So what’s Holliday’s secret? Here’s a quick hint — our ancestors were way better at dealing with obstacles in life.

The book draws its inspiration from stoicism, the ancient Greek philosophy of enduring pain or adversity with perseverance and resilience. Stoics focus on the things they can control, let go of everything else, and turn every new obstacle into an opportunity to get better, stronger, tougher. As Marcus Aurelius put it nearly 2000 years ago: “The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.”

The Obstacle is the Way is a cult classic, beloved by men and women around the world who apply its wisdom to become more successful at whatever they do. Pick up a copy and turn your problems into your biggest advantages.

Sports Finance Report: How Much Value Do Athletes Bring To The Brands They Endorse?

$

Editor’s Note: Welcome to a daily column we run here at BroBible breaking down the day’s biggest stories in sports finance with commentary from the equities analyst and sports fanatic perspectives. It comes to us via our friends at JohnWallStreet, publisher of a free e-mail newsletter focused on sports related public equities and their subsidiaries. You can sign up here.

How Much Value Do Athletes Bring To The Brands They Endorse?

Under Armour’s (UAA) disastrous Q3 earnings report has ignited a debate about the value athletes bring to the brands they endorse. Steph Curry, Tom Brady, Cam Newton and Bryce Harper all wear the UAA logo, but that star-power wasn’t able to prevent company sales from declining 12% in Q3 ’17; nor has it helped to attract teens to the brand. Those that believe in athlete sponsorships will tout the brand equity received; the value a company realizes from associating their product with a recognizable name.

Howie Long-Short: As a rule of thumb (Jordan being an exception), endorsements do not correlate with significant revenue growth. In fact, among the Top 10 selling sneakers of 2016, only one was associated with an active athlete; Nike’s (NKE) Kyrie (Irving) 2 finished 10th. It’s worth noting that on Thursday evening, Adidas (ADDYY) signed Zach LaVine to a 4-year contract worth up to $35 million. I would not classify that as money well spent.

Fan Marino: Adidas CEO attributes Mark King attributes UAA’s lack of success capitalizing on endorsement deals to the “milquetoast” personalities of their athletes (i.e. Brady, Spieth); while pointing out that ADDYY athletes “Carlos Correa and James Harden have personality”. There is no way that Carlos Correa is moving merchandise. The average sports fan wouldn’t know it, if they were sitting next to him. Harden has a long beard, but even former Rockets coach Kevin McHale acknowledged that trying to lead a team isn’t in his “personality”. If he isn’t capable of being a leader on the floor (and in the locker room), what real value can he bring ADDYY off it?

Papa John’s Blames NFL for “Polarizing Customer”, Pizza Hut Says NFL Has No Impact on Business

Papa John’s Pizza slashed full-year revenue and profit forecasts and blamed same store sales missing analyst estimates, on the company’s association with the NFL. PZZA CEO John Schnatter believes the political controversy that has engulfed the league this season has had a negative effect on ratings (down 7.5% from ‘16). Schnatter was quoted saying “NFL leadership has hurt Papa John’s shareholders. The controversy is polarizing the customer, polarizing the country.” PZZA shares are down 8% since the announcement. The company has pulled all advertising associated with the NFL.

Howie Long Short: Not all NFL sponsors feel the way Schnatter does. Kohl’s (KSS) is said to be working with the league on a holiday ad campaign, Buffalo Wild Wings (BWLD) recently went on the record stating that they do not anticipate any decline in key sales figures because of their relationship with the NFL and Pizza Hut (YUM) CEO Greg Creed said the company isn’t seeing any impact on their business. PZZA blaming poor sales on the NFL, is like the NFL blaming declining television ratings on hurricane coverage; perhaps it’s had a slight impact, but to place the sole blame there belies the fundamental issues with the business. The stock is down more than 26% this year.

Fan Marino: I always wonder why people in New York and New Jersey order from Domino’s (DPZ), Pizza Hut (YUM) or Pappa John’s (PZZA), when there are so many better local options. In NYC for a few days and not sure where to find the best slice? Barstool founder Dave Portnoy has a “pizza review” series to help you out.

Blockchain Technology Finds Niche in Esports Ecosystem, Activision Blizzard Reports Record 3rd Quarter

Companies are using blockchain technology to solve problems that have developed as esports have evolved. Network Units, whose pre-ICO begins on November 8th, has developed an online gaming platform with a built-in player conduct and reputation management system. The platform is designed to eliminate the toxic members of communities who abuse others, exploit the system and cheat the game. Esports.com, which kicked off its ICO period on November 1st, provides a platform for merchandise sales, licensed gambling and user generated educational content. The platform is sold as a solution to eliminating problems related to low community engagement.

Howie Long Short: Activision Blizzard (ATVI) reported a Q3 record with $1.9 billion in revenue generated (+17% YOY) and the company raised full-year revenue guidance from $6.4 billion to $6.68 billion ($2.08/share); crediting the growth to the success of September’s Destiny 2 launch and the King mobile games division (i.e. Candy Crush Saga), which reported growth for the first time since Q1 ‘16. Keep an eye on the company’s much anticipated Overwatch esports league which will debut in December, just don’t expect it to be an immediate revenue generator. CEO Robert Kotick has tempered expectations saying, “the first season is really about building a solid foundation.”

Fan Marino: The audience for video game streaming is 600 million and growing, so streaming sites are aggressively working to add streamers. Twitch, the Amazon (AMZN) owned streaming site, grew its number of concurrent streamers 67% in Q3 (to 25K); as the company began offering smaller streamers’ the opportunity to generate revenue. For comparison purposes, YouTube (GOOGL) Gaming (the next most popular site) had just 8,200 concurrent streamers.

PR 101: Chrissy Teigen Leaves Monster Tip For An Outback Steakhouse Waitress, Goes Viral

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the easiest way for celebrities to get good, cheap press without even lifting a finger is to leave a really good tip. The public fucking loves a good tip story. And you let the waitress do all the work for you by plastering it on social media, and eventually it will get picked up by Good Morning America, and all you have to do as the celebrity is act surprised when your 600% tip goes viral. PR 101.

Chrissy Teigen followed that formula during her trip to a Centerville, Ohio Outback Steakhouse. According to NY Daily News, Teigen ate there on October 27th with her daughter and several friends. 21-year-old Mikayla Scott was fortunate enough to be the model’s server.

“She walked in with all her glam,” Scott said of Teigen to the NY Daily News. “I was so nervous I was going to do something wrong.”

Welp, she didn’t fuck it up that bad. On a $193.81 bill, Teigen left a $1,000 tip. If my math’s correct, that’s a 519% tip. There’s very little chance that math is correct. It should be noted that Teigen and fam live for Outback.

Instagram Photo

The Outback waitress says she used the extra money to fix her family’s car, and she shared some of it with her co-workers.

This just in: my intrepid colleague Garrett Green did a little investigative journalism and brought to my attention that the Outback waitress Teigen hooked up appears to be a staunch conservative and Trump supporter.

Chrissy’s thoughts on Trump:

Chrissy, demand the tip back. You won’t. YOU DON’T HAVE THE STONES.

How Choose Best Online Dating Photo

We are always on the lookout for practical as well as unique dating tips and advice that a bro can use to give himself a better chance of finding “the one.”

Whether it’s sharing some first date ideas, what phrases and keywords to use in your online dating profiles, or even completely sneaky ways to make your mate love you even more, we’re out here doing the research so you can be more successful when it comes to dating.

Today is another one of those days as the fine folks over at online dating site and app Zoosk have put together a rock solid list of tips when it comes to how to choose your online dating photo.

Based on their data, here’s what they discovered (and just in case there are any ladies reading this – I know you’re out there – I left in the tips for women as well)…

1. Don’t wear a hat.
People like to see as much of you as possible—your whole face and even those lovely locks, so show off a little and ditch the hat.

2. Use a full-body photo.
Including at least one full-body photo in your dating profile can get you up to 203% more incoming messages than the average.

3. Got a favorite sports team? Get your jersey out.
People wearing a jersey, t-shirt of their favorite team, or sports outfit in their photos get 32% more incoming messages and 17% more responses.

4. Add a vacation pic.
Adding a vacation photo to your profile can get you up to 6% more messages.

5. Ladies, snap those selfies.
Women who have a selfie photo get 4% more messages. Guys, not so much. Men who have a selfie photo get 8% fewer messages than the average.

6. Fellas, use an outdoor shot.
Men who add an outdoor photo to their profile get 19% more messages while women who add an outdoor photo get 40% fewer.

7. Don’t take a photo in your car.
Photos of people in front of a car or motorcycle, or inside of a car resulted in fewer likes.

8. Ditch the shades.
People who wear sunglasses (and thus hide large parts of their faces) get 63% fewer messages and also receive fewer likes.

9. Be the only person in your photo.
People who have more than one person in their photos get 42% fewer messages. And also avoid a photo with an ex or someone who looks like they could be a date.

10. Don’t pose with an animal.
If you’re posing with a dog, cat, monkey, bird, tiger, or any other furry friend, it can get you up to 53% fewer messages.

11. If you can, verify your photos.
People who verify their photos can get up to 100% more messages than the average.

12. Ladies, go for the closeup and show off those eyes.
53% of men said that the first thing they notice about a woman’s profile picture is her eyes.

13. Use natural makeup.
86% of men admitted that they prefer a woman with light and natural makeup over someone with a profile photo who’s super done up.

14. Use more than 4.
After looking into the data, Zoosk found that profiles with more than four photos get more messages than those with fewer photos, and they also have longer conversations.

Do all of these things and your odds of getting more and better matches should definitely skyrocket.

The 4 Most Important Exercises You Need To Do In Order To Get Jacked

So you’ve decided that it’s time to start building muscle? You’re tired of feeling like they twist those bottle caps on a bottle of beer just a little tight, and you’re going to do something about it. First off, I’d like to be the first to congratulate you on beginning what is bound to be a journey fraught with excitement, success, and periodic bouts of frustration.

If you’ve decided to make this jump into the world of building muscle, you’re probably wondering where in the world to start. Do you wander into the dark and dimly lit area of the gym where all the weights, and corresponding behemoths are?

Do you ask a trainer at your gym and find yourself sitting in a sales pitch being asked to spend thousands of dollars on a personal training package you’ll never use?

Or do you turn to the Internet, and try and attempt to sift through the millions of search results that turn up?

The truth is, you’re in a position that millions of people have found themselves in before. As a Personal Trainer, I can tell you that a number of my clients have turned to me solely because they were so fed up with feeling lost, and just wanted a plan to follow to build muscle.

And that’s exactly what I’m going to give you today.

Building muscle is a very simple task, simple, but not necessarily easy. It takes consistency, time, and a certain level of dedication. But luckily, with the right exercises this process can be sped up a bit. Here are the four exercises you need to be doing to build muscle.

Deadlift.

One of the most basic tenets of building muscle is doing exercises that involve a large number of muscles working together at once. In that sense, the deadlift is the king of all exercises when it comes to building muscle and strength.

It involves almost every single muscle in your legs, back, shoulders, and even works the muscles in your chest and abs, which are forced to act as stabilizers to a certain degree.

Where most people go wrong is they start trying to deadlift extremely heavy far too quickly. So instead of making that mistake, start light with something easy like a kettlebell or dumbbell, and slowly work your way up to using barbells.

Squat.

While the deadlift is certainly awesome, when it comes to building muscle in the legs alone the squat might reign supreme. A full range of motion squat activates every single muscle in your legs, as well as using your core and upper back to work as stabilizers.

Using all of these muscles together works wonders for your muscle building potential, and it’s the big reason you’ll see this exercise recommended to so many people when they first start out in the gym.

Much like the deadlift, don’t focus on going too heavy too quickly, and be sure you’re squatting deep enough from the start to ensure that you’re getting as much as possible out of the exercise.

Overhead press.

When it comes to building muscle in the upper body, the overhead press is one of my absolute favorites. While most people think of the bench press as a great upper body exercise, I’d argue that the overhead press is actually far superior.

Aside from building more functional strength, or strength that carries over into real life, the overhead press does a great job of building muscle in your shoulders, arms, upper back, and even works your abs.

At times this one can be a bit stressful on your lower back, so it may help to play with how you’re standing, or even do the movement while seated. Figure out what’s the most comfortable for you, and go from there.

Pull-ups.

One of the only matches to the overhead press when it comes to building muscle in the upper body is the pull-up. Where the overhead press works the front portion of the shoulders, and the triceps, the pull-up works the rear part of the shoulder and the biceps, as well as the upper back.

Building muscle in the shoulders and upper back is one of the best things you can do to drastically change your appearance, as well as build strength that carries over to every other aspect of your life.

If you can’t manage to do pull-ups, then doing an inverted row with something like a TRX suspension trainer is a great alternative option worth doing.

These four exercises are by far and away some of the most effective when it comes to building muscle. But remember, what’s going to pay off more than just doing these exercises by themselves is consistency. Aim to hit the gym 3-4 times a week, and be sure you’re eating enough food, and the right kind of food, to help build muscle.

Former Marine Mike Ergo lost 29 of his brothers when he was just 21-years-old in the Second Battle of Fallujah, the Iraq War’s bloodiest battle, and when he returned home he turned to drugs and alcohol to cope with all of the loss and guilt he felt.

Ergo says that he hoped that each time he passed out drunk, it would help him to forget all the terrible memories he was carrying.

For 10 years this went on as he tried to dull the pain.

“It was so intense — I felt pretty certain that I was going to get killed,” Ergo tells PEOPLE. “I surrendered to that happening, and focused on trying to protect my friends and fellow Marines. But after one month, 29 of them were gone. I really don’t know how I survived, and I felt tremendous guilt about that. How did I escape with just a small piece of shrapnel in my neck, while so many died?”

In the summer of 2012 his Ergo’s wife told him that if he didn’t get clean she was going to leave the marriage. It was then that he finally reached out for help with his addictions and counseling for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Now Ergo has been drug and alcohol-free for five years and has been using the energy he once wasted on pain by competing in Ironman triathlons in honor of those lost soldiers’ memories.

“I feel like a new person with a sense of purpose,” Ergo, 34, of Walnut Creek, California, tells PEOPLE.

“When I’m running, I can feel the presence of the friends I lost, and not just in a metaphorical sense,” he says. “Several times, I’ve had the profound spiritual experience of feeling them running alongside me. I used to feel sadness, but now I’m overcome with gratitude and joy.”

Ergo competed most recently in the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii on October 14th. During the physically torturous event Ergo says that he wanted to quit multiple times, but he didn’t, telling Men’s Health

“…as the pain came and the voices in my head told me ‘I don’t have to do this’ and ‘it hurts too much,’ I simply accepted the pain and focused on gratitude for being alive and surviving combat in Iraq,” he said. “I found gratitude for my family who had supported my this whole time through training and along the race course, and I found gratitude to the people of Hawaii for warmly welcoming and allowing us to race here in such a paradise.”

When it was all over, and Ergo heard the words “Mike Ergo, you are an Ironman!” broadcast over the loud speaker he celebrated with his wife and two children.

“I had done it. Not by myself, but with the undying support of my wife and family. With the blessings of the Hawaiian spirits to pass through their land. With the help of 29 fallen friends carrying me to the finish,” he said. “Kona was by far the difficult thing I have done since being in combat. That said, I would not trade the experience for the world.”

As Ergo states on his website that tries to inspire others with PTSD…

“My message to those hurting is simple: War does not define you. Trauma does not define you. You can use that hurt and heal, becoming stronger than you can imagine.”

Amen to that, Mike. Amen to that.

The Trailer For ‘UFC 3’ Is Here And The Game Looks Better Than Ever

I’ve always said the most satisfying feeling you can get from a video game is scoring a goal in FIFA, but landing a solid knockout punch in the UFC games is a close second. There’s just something about watching a virtual fighter crumple to the mat that really does it for me.

I’ve wasted countless hours playing the first two installments of the game, and I have no doubt I’m going to spend way too much time on my couch when UFC 3 drops. If the trailer is any indication, it’s will undoubtedly be the best version to date.

The cover athlete is none other than Conor McGregor, who is pictured holding the lightweight belt he currently owns in addition to the featherweight title he surrendered last year.

McGregor hasn’t fought in the UFC since November 2016, but Dana White said he expects him to return to the Octagon by the end of the year (all signs point to the Irishman squaring off against Tony Ferguson at UFC 219 at the end of December).

The trailer also features weigh-ins and press conferences that were absent from previous games that are meant to make the game’s career mode more immersive. However, those are far from the only features to be introduced:

Outside of fights, players will make promotional choices to build hype, gain fans, earn more cash through big contracts and capture the world’s attention. A new in-game social media system allows players to create heated rivalries with other UFC athletes, providing the freedom to take on any type of persona, between cool-headed contender or infamous trash-talker.

UFC 3 is scheduled to be released on February 2nd.

It looks like Colin Kaepernick’s collusion case against the NFL is off to an explosive start.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL has asked Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Texans owner Bob McNair, and Patriots owner Bob Kraft to turn over their cells phones at the request of Kaepernick’s lawyers.

Via Adam Schefter’s Facebook page

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Texans owner Bob McNair, amongst others, will be deposed and asked to turn over all cell phone records and emails in relation to the Colin Kaepernick collusion case against the NFL, a league source confirmed. Others owners, teams and league officials also will be deposed, but those individuals have been confirmed for now.

It will be interesting to see if these billionaire owners do indeed comply with the NFL’s request or do they end up just smashing their phones ala Tom Brady.

The ‘Chronoliner’ by Breitling

things we want

Breitling is one of the most revered watchmakers in the world, and for good reason. The Breitling Chronoliner is here to blow you away:

Inspired by a Breitling model from the 1950s-1960s, the Chronoliner asserts itself as an authentic captain’s watch. Its signature feature is a broad bezel in scratch-resistant high-tech ceramic (an ultra-hard synthetic material), featuring an original star-shaped cut-out. The red-tipped hand enables second timezone readings in 24-hour mode, while the rotating bezel indicates a third timezone. Just the ticket for a long-haul flight anywhere in the world. The performance of the selfwinding chronograph is displayed with impressive legibility on a dial worthy of the finest flight instruments.

For a cool $7,600, this is one of the nicest watches made in 2017. Now, I just need to come up with a couple extra grand to spend on a watch.
