Lonzo Ball’s stat line through 8 games: 9.1 ppg, 6.6 apg, 6.8 rpg. In his most recent game in a loss to Portland on national television, Lonzo had a dumpster fire of a game: posting 0 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists in 28 uninspired minutes. In 44 combined games in college at UCLA and in the pros with the Lakers, Ball had never failed to score a point, ESPN reports. He’s also the only starting point guard to be held scoreless in 25 or more minutes this season.

Obviously, it’s one game in what will likely be a long career and the dude isn’t even old enough to sip a beer, but at times Lonzo is flat-out passive. TNT analyst Charles Barkley had an uncommon stroke of brilliance when speaking about Lonzo’s early shortcomings as a player.

“He’s got this defect in his game because he can only shoot the ball from the left side of his body. So he can only shoot going left, because he can’t go right because he’s bringing the ball from over here. So he’s only half of a player right now and guys are taking half his body away.”

Ball is shooting a dismal 32.6 percent from the field through eight, and for the first time in a while, I’d have to agree with Barkley on his take. Lonzo’s gotta fix that slingshot or NBA defenders are going to make it difficult for him.

Even if you hate watching the Dallas Cowboys, you might want to tune in for their game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

That’s because the game will be broadcast on CBS and guess who will be in the booth? The all-seeing, all-knowing Tony Romo.

As NFL fans know after seeing clips like the one above, Prescott has a pretty good right to be concerned. Romo, who has been eerily prescient when it comes to calling which plays teams will run before they even happen this year, is still very familiar with the Cowboys’ playbook.

Speaking to the Dallas Morning News, Prescott had this to say about Romo’s penchant for prediction…

“Hopefully he doesn’t call out and guess too many of our plays,” Prescott said. “He’ll still be very familiar with them. Hopefully he can stay away from that this week.”

Romo has been critical of players at times during his first season calling games. It’ll be interesting to see if he’s the same way Sunday, his first time in the booth during a Cowboys game.

How does Prescott feel about Romo potentially being critical of his play?

“I kind of expect him to be,” Prescott said. “I hope he is.”

Yep, this is going to be very fun to watch.

Heck, if Romo is smart enough to decipher even what Bill Belichick does…

…just imagine what he will do when he has a deep knowledge of one of the team’s playbooks in his back pocket.

Earlier today it was announced that Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was able to return to his team after being granted a brief administrative stay that will allw him him to play this Sunday. Throughout the duration of the season, Elliott has been fighting the NFL over the six-game suspension handed down to him for an alleged domestic violence incident.

After today’s practice Elliott spoke to the media and made it clear that he was going to fight tooth and nail to clear his name.

Elliott’s case will likely continue to go back and forth throughout the season, we’ll see if Elliott can eventually beat the NFL in court.

Earlier this season, multiple members of the New York Jets defense voiced their displeasure after Marshawn Lynch danced on the sideline during the fourth quarter of a blowout game. It was just business as usual for Beast Mode, but that didn’t stop his opponents from getting pissed off.

However, the team (sort of) got their revenge during their game against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night. The Jets were up 34-7 with seven minutes to go in the fourth quarter when the team took a timeout, and instead of huddling up, the players decided to hold an impromptu dance party in the middle of the field in the ultimate show of disrespect.

Many people thought the Jets would tank in spectacular fashion this season, and while their 4-5 record isn’t necessarily something to brag about, you can’t blame the players for having a little bit of fun.

Sorry bros, but Caroline Wozniacki got engaged to NBA player David Lee. Like you had a chance. On Thursday, Lee popped the question to Caroline in picturesque Bora Bora, French Polynesia. Lee announced the exciting news on his Twitter account with the caption, “She said yes!!! So thrilled to be engaged to my soulmate!!!”

The Danish tennis player and model shared her giant ring on Instagram and captioned the photo, “Happiest day of my life yesterday saying yes to my soulmate @dlee042.”

There were rumors that the couple were dating since December of 2016 and only made it official in February.

The 12-year NBA veteran played with the San Antonio Spurs last season, but is a free agent this year. He had better start looking for a job to pay for that gargantuan rock.

Hopefully, this goes better than Wozniacki’s last engagement with golfer Rory McIlroy in 2014 and ended days after their wedding invitations were sent out.

It appears that Amazon wants to beat HBO by taking a page out of their playbook. Amazon wants to have their own Medieval Europe-esque fantasy TV show like Game of Thrones and would like to do so by creating a The Lord of the Rings TV series. Amazon Studios are in talks with Warner Bros. Television and the estate of J.R.R. Tolkien to develop a LOTR TV series.

The Tolkien estate is shopping a series adapted from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings and Amazon is said to be the frontrunner to land the coveted entertainment property. The negotiations are said to be in “very early stages,” but Amazon is said to be heavily interested and are putting on a full-court press to land the fantasy TV show. Even Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is said to be involved in the negotiations to acquire Frodo Baggins and the gang. However, other televisions networks have been pitched the show including Netflix. HBO is reportedly out of the running for the show.

To get the LOTR TV show will not come cheap. Reports are that the Tolkien Estate expects to sell the television right for $200-250 million. However, the Tolkien Estate will not give away the entire franchise. They are said the TV series will not include all of the characters from the epic Middle-earth story. Any network would welcome a property that is so popular, so beloved, and automatically comes with a humungous built-in audience. Added bonus: The Lord of the Rings books are already written so there’s no waiting for the author to finish writing the ending.

Is your faith in humanity obliterated? Then you, my friend, need to check out this fantastic video. One of the most encouraging and altruistic moments of modern humankind happened at the Houston Astros World Series parade on Friday. Hundreds of Astros fanatics gathered in a parking garage to witness the Astros championship celebration. But one woman on an upper deck of the garage lost her hat. That’s when the fine folks of Houston joined together to give the hat back to the woman in one spectacular display of cooperation. Twitter user Alan Enokian captured the video and shared it so the world can marvel.

This is like one of those motivational “Teamwork” posters IRL. Sucks to be that one person that fumbled and the hat floated down several decks, nearly fucked it up for everyone else. Finally, the woman on at least the eighth story of the parking garage got her hat back. Faith in humanity restored.

Sarah Hyland wants you to know that her character on Modern Family is bisexual. The 26-year-old actress confirmed that Haley Dunphy goes both ways when she was asked by a fan on Twitter this week. When one fan posted “Haley Dunphy is bisexual,” another Twitter user asked Hyland to confirm. Hyland wrote back, “I don’t know what the writers would say? But I confirm.”

She added that it was just her “personal OPINION… and a story line I would PERSONALLY like to see. But that’s just me.”

The Modern Family writers have not responded to the tweets. The theory that Haley Dunphy is bisexual comes despite the character having nine different boyfriends and no girlfriends during Modern Family‘s nine seasons.

In real life, Hyland seems to be quite close to Wells Adams, who appeared on The Bachelor. The two were combined on a Stranger Things-themed Halloween costume with Sarah as Dustin and Wells as Eleven.
