Adult film actress Mercedes Carrera staged a contest open only to current and former service members. The reward? A free flight out to Vegas to attend the Adult Video News Awards with Carrera herself draped over your arm. Well, color me candid when I say that Former (served eight years) Army Reserve sergeant Anthony Berg won the golden ticket when he was selected as the contest winner. Oh by the way Berg’s totally married.
Yeah, but it’s chill because Carrera was stoked to fly out Mrs. Berg, who had no idea what she was getting herself into. Literally no idea. She had to Google ‘Mercedes Carrera’ to figure that sh*t out. Dude, her personal invitation right below slays.
“I loved that his wife was very supportive,” Carrera said. “I didn’t want it to be a thing where people would be like, ‘Yeah, Mercedes totally effed this guy.’ That’s not why I was doing it. I certainly don’t want to cause any marital problems. That’s my own personal code of ethics.”
Anyways, Carrera’s move to provide a fantastical experience for the servicemen that put life and limb on the line for the sake of this country seems to have been met with genuine approval by the community of readers over at Army Times—the first publication to break this tale of triumph.
I mean can you imagine? You spend six months if not more abroad and often in a bone-dry hellscape devoid of female intimacy, but chock-full of howling red-faced drill sergeants that likely snag any chance of happiness out the oven furnace air; and your happy place of solace is some me-time with whatever porn DVD you could get your sand-crusted hands on. You probably spend days, consecutive days that turn weeks, entertaining the possibility of what you’d do for a night alone in the desert with a big-breasted, puffy lipped, dame that wants, no wait, needs It. Then you end up taking a lady of that very industry as your date, to a fucking pornstarfest? Ugh way to be Berg, way to be. Carrera describes Berg as nothing but likeable with the award night’s guests.
It sounds like Berg’s taking a little heat from some folk, but honestly fuck it, it’s worth it. On the flipside Carrera said she’s received a fraction if that of the critique she usually receives from people for the work she does.
“The amount of hate that I got on that event was just a fraction of what I receive daily, just for doing my job,” she said. “So to be frank, the net good outweighs any of the criticism.”
So, a former Army Reserve Sergeant takes a porn star to a ball flooded out the door with the fantasy silicone-packed creatures of many ‘a sexually frustrated teenage boy’s dreams; and Carrera’s pretty much in chillcity. I’d say this is kind of a win-win for Amuurica after all.
