Kevin Durant Could Not Have Been More Spot On About Why The NBA Didn’t Suspend Draymond Green

Yesterday, the NBA announced that they would not suspend Draymond Green for Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals after karate kicking Steven Adams in the nut sack. Personally, I don’t think a suspension was warranted because a.) there was no lasting injury sustained besides Adams potentially becoming infertile and b.) it’s playoff basketball, suspensions should be treated with the same enforcement as jaywalking.

With that said, holy shit NBA, be more transparent in your agenda. You can’t. The NBA JUST suspended Cav’s Dahntay Jones one game without pay for THE SAME THING.

The only way I’d gain all my respect back for the NBA is if they held a press conference and said:

“Draymond Green is a premier player in the NBA. Dahntay Jones is not. We don’t care about justice, we just care about giving people the best product possible. And for that, Draymond is allowed to play and Dahntay can sit on a ripe cucumber and twist. No questions, thank you.”

Kevin Durant captured the essence of the entire incident perfectly.

“They’re not going to suspend Draymond Green. He’s one of the premier players in the league, on arguably on of the best teams in the history of the game. They’re not going to suspend him.

“I didn’t even really think about it. I knew the league was going to let him play or fine him, upgrade him to a Flagrant 2…we all knew that was going to happen. The league is pro-business, so I get it. No hard feelings.”

I like Draymond Green but I pray to Jesus someone kicks him in the nuts tonight. Make the NBA choke on their decision.
