It appears that Peyton Manning and his gigantic forehead are taking to retirement pretty dang nicely. Footage has just hit the Internet showing the prodigal child returning to the great state of Tennessee to sing a rousing karaoke version of ‘Rocky Top’, the official song of Peyton Manning‘s alma mater, The University of Tennessee.
Obviously it should come as no surprise that the man who made millions for screaming ‘OMAHA’ doesn’t have the karaoke voice of an angel, but what Peyton Manning lacks in singing ability he makes up for in heart:
According to the website SoundsLikeNasheville this took place last night at the Winners Bar and Grill Monday night ‘Whiskey Jam’:
The football superstar was in town for the HCA/TriStar Health Red Cross Lifesaver Breakfast, held earlier that day in the Music City Center. He joined Lee Brice and Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney onstage to sing “Rocky Top,” the Tennessee Volunteers’ unofficial fight song, as well as Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues.”
A number of Whiskey Jam attendees posted video of the out-of-the-ordinary guest appearance.
As I said before, retirement certainly seems to be treating Peyton Manning well.
