Conor McGregor took home an estimated $100 million for getting hit in the face a bunch of times by Floyd Mayweather during the duo’s bout in Vegas at the end of August, and while he might have lost, his defeat didn’t put much of a damper on his post-fight celebration. I guess there’s not a ton to be mad about when you manage to make $3 million a minute for your efforts.

It didn’t take long for people to start wondering what the fighter would do next. If I was in his situation, my first move would probably be to buy a private island and then never do anything else for the rest of my life, but luckily for all of us, McGregor is a bit more motivated.

The Irishman recently traveled to Glasgow for an interview recapping the fight, and McGregor— who has never had a problem keeping his mouth shut— had plenty to say. He revealed that he had plenty of plans for the future (beyond producing his own brand of whiskey), and if you’ve been looking forward to a rematch, you’re going to be excited by some of the answers he gave.

Mayweather may have emerged victorious after their first matchup, but McGregor (unsurprisingly) seems to think he’d come out on top if the two faced off in the ring again:

“If I had another go with him, under boxing rules, I’d get that win. He had to change his whole approach. With those lessons I learned, with another go around, I’d get it. He’s 50-0 and getting on, I’m not calling him out. I’ll sit back. We’ll see how he gets on with this round of money. Maybe I’ll get another call.”

After saying he wouldn’t call out Mayweather, McGregor went on to call out Mayweather by challenging the undefeated boxer to a fight in the Octagon:

“Originally he was saying an MMA bout next. That’s what he said before the fight. He did say an MMA fight. So if he wants to, lets f****** do it. There’s not a hope in hell… I’d like to see him come over to our side and have a knock. I earned their respect and put myself out there. Style over to my side and earn our respect now.”

While there’s close to literally no chance the 40-year-old Mayweather would ever agree to an MMA match, that doesn’t mean we can’t keep dreaming.

Last week, Houston Texans owner Bob McNair pissed off several of his players when he referred to NFL players as “inmates running the prison” at an owners meeting. While several players responded by sitting out during the national anthem before their game on Sunday, Jadeveon Clowney appears to be taking a much more humorous approach towards the situation.

Last night, Clowney filmed himself at the team’s Halloween party dressed up as an inmate which is definitely a shot at McNair.

Bill Belichick shocked the NFL yet again by trading highly competent backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to San Francisco for a second round pick. Many Patriots fans believe their team deserved a lot more in return, just as they did when Belichick shipped off linebacker Jamie Collins last year to the Browns for a conditional draft pick. Or when he cut four-time Pro Bowler and fan favorite Lawyer Milloy five days before the 2003 season. Or when he shipped Chandler Jones to Arizona last year for now released guard Jonathan Cooper.

Garoppolo is entering the last year of his rookie contract, and he’s set to hit free agency after the 2017 season. According to MMQB’s Albert Breer, the Patriots were willing to pay him like a starting quarterback, but Garoppolo wanted more than just the money. He wanted to play. So, when free agency comes around, the Pats would likely enter a bidding war with teams like the Browns or 49ers, which could end poorly for them. In the end, Belichick did what was best for his team at this time, even if he could have unloaded Jimmy earlier and gotten more.

On a conference call with the media on Tuesday morning, Belichick offered a bit of clarity on his decision. Via Patriots.com:

“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Jimmy. I couldn’t ask for him to give us any more than he has given us,” Belichick began. “The 49ers are getting a good player, they are getting a good person and they’re getting a great teammate and they are getting a good quarterback, and Jimmy is getting a good coach.

“His career is moving forward, he’s a talented individual. He is a great person to coach. I met with him weekly. As his career moves forward, we have to look at our team, this year and beyond. We probably had in my mind, the best quarterback situation in the league for the last 2 1/2 years. It is just not sustainable the way things are set up. “Not something we wanted to walk away from. I felt we rode it out as long as we could, over a period of time, explored every option possible to sustain it. At this point, felt like we had to make a decision. Very complex situation on multiple levels. This is really the last window that we had, we did what we felt was best for the team. There were many things involved in this whole process.”

Garoppolo, who has two Super Bowl rings, will now join the winless 49ers.

After last month’s UFC Poland, UFC superstar Conor McGregor was filmed backstage consoling his friend Artem Lobov after a loss to Andre Fili. In the video, McGregor can be heard using a homophobic slur several times to describe Fili.

In an interview with RTÉ’s Late Late Show this Friday, McGregor apologized for using the slu by saying that he did not mean to disrespect the LGBT community by using the word.

“I was whispering in his ear and I was speaking on that and I said what I said. I meant no disrespect to nobody of the LGBT community. I didn’t mean no disrespect. You’d swear I was screaming at two people of the same sex kissing. I campaigned when we were trying to get same-sex marriage legalised, I was campaigning for that.

“It is another one where things just get blown out and they love to just . . . any chance they get they love to throw me under the bus. It is what it is. I’ll just say sorry for what I said and that’s it and try to move on from it,” he said.

“I have to put my hands up there. I was watching a fighter, a sparring partner, a training partner, a friend, a brother of mine who has given his health, his body health, his brain health, everything to help me prepare for fights to give my brain health and my body health to entertain the public.

“That’s the fighter I was going to watch and support. I witnessed him lose a fight, and a potential career-ending fight, in a manner where the opponent was stalling and running away and I was upset,” he said.

For the past year McGregor has come under fire for his racist language during promotion for the Mayweather fight, and now he has to deal with backlash from the LGBT community.

I’m thinking of running for President by centering my campaign around bringing an end to crime in the United States altogether. Impossible, you say? Hear me out. In a report released Monday, the FDA claims, “If you’re 40 or older, eating 2 ounces of black licorice a day for at least two weeks could land you in the hospital with an irregular heart rhythm or arrhythmia.” According to Business Insider, two ounces is about five Twizzler-size ropes of licorice.

The FDA claims that the sweetening com pain in licorice root–glycryrhizin–can raise levels of sodium and reduce levels of potassium in one’s body. This sudden reduction in potassium can cause some people to experience abnormal heart rhythms, high blood pressure, swelling, or congestive heart failure.

It’s an old wives’ tale that restaurants make for bad investments. Sure, opening a restaurant is a poor investment if you don’t know anything about running a restaurant and you plan on doing all the work yourself. But if you make food service and hospitality your career, and you’re a talented individual, then running a restaurant can be wildly lucrative.

Case in point, this list Restaurant Business Online magazine which shows the 100 top-grossing restaurants in America of 2017. Also, it should be obvious by now but I’m not talking about fast food here. Looking at this list, one thing stands out: VOLUME. The top-grossing restaurants in America are serving hundreds of thousands of diners per year. Coming it at #1 on the list is Tao Las Vegas which did over $42 million in sales last year for an average check price of $90. So of my favorite restaurants on the East Coast cracked the top 10 including Joe’s Stone Crab in South Beach, Carmine’s (New York), Old Ebbitt Grill in D.C., and Smith & Wollensky in midtown Manhattan (the first of many NYC steakhouses I came to love).

Here’s a look at the top 10 highest grossing restaurants in America (in 2017):

As someone who grew up with a ton of family in the restaurant business, it’s hard for me to fathom restaurants doing over $42 MILLION in sales. I get that Tao and Lavo are clubs as well as restaurants but that’s still insane. Also, this list reminded me of how much I used to love Smith & Wollensky in Midtown. I won’t get into the specifics, but at my first job in the city we used to get treated to dinner at that steakhouse whenever we’d hit goals and our bosses would let us just go nuts and order whatever we wanted…This, of course, meant we’d triple fist with wine, an old-fashioned, and a martini throughout the entire meal.

Adolf Hitler death came on April 30, 1945, when he and committed suicide by ingesting a cyanide capsule and then shot himself with a pistol in a refurbished air-raid shelter buried 55-feet under the Reich Chancellery as Russia’s Red Army swarmed Berlin. The Soviets cremated the bodies of Hitler and his wife Eva Braun in the chancellery garden. Or so they would have you believe. A newly uncovered report from the JFK files states that Hitler did not kill himself in the doomed bunker, but rather the Fuhrer somehow escaped to Colombia and was seen as late as the 1950s.

Last the week, 2,891 documents related to the John F. Kennedy assassination investigation were released. Included in the new revelations were some intriguing conspiracy theories, interesting anecdotes about a Fidel Castro bounty and sex parties with Frank Sinatra. Also included in the JFK files was a report of an informant telling the CIA that Adolf Hitler was alive and well in South America.

A decades-old memo from a CIA informant regarding the death of Hitler will certainly excite conspiracy theorists. Newly declassified documents reveal that an informant told the CIA that Hitler escaped Europe as his Third Reich was crushed by the Red Army and the Allied Forces. Before Berlin was captured by the Soviets, Hitler reportedly fled to Colombia to avoid capture according to a memo in the JFK files.

A source told an agent, whose code name was Cimelody-3, that Hitler was living with fellow Nazis in Colombia into the 1950s. Phillip Citroen, a former German SS trooper, informed the source that Hitler was very well alive and living in a city named Tunja, which is in the middle of Colombia. The former SS soldier told CIA spies that he regularly met with Hitler in the neighborhood of “Residencias Coloniales,” a place where many Nazis fled to after World War II. Citroen claimed to have contacted Hitler about once a month. The Germans living in Tunja allegedly adored Hitler for “an idolatry of the Nazi past” and addressing him as “der Fuehrer,” even saluting him with the Nazi salute.

Hitler, who would have been 66-years-old in 1955, lived in Colombia and worked at the KNSM (Royal Dutch) shipping company before fleeing to Argentina according to the memo. The JFK files included a report from CIA’s bureau chief in Venezuela, that featured a photo from 1955 of Citroen and a man allegedly said to be Hitler, who allegedly went by the name of “Adolf Schritteimayor.”

The CIA was extremely skeptical of this report, calling it a “fantastic” story and “an apparent fantasy.” “Neither Cimelody-3 nor this Station is in a position to give an intelligent evaluation of the information and it being forwarded as of possible interest,” read the memo, sent by Caracas bureau chief David Brixnor. So what says you, did Hitler commit suicide in his Berlin bunker or did he escape to South America?

We’re t-minus 60 minutes away from me cracking the first of many Halloween brewskis. I wasn’t planning on writing up many more articles this afternoon. I’m already 10-deep on the day and after 8 or so my mind begins to turn into mashed potatoes. But I came across this video from Great Big Story about beer brewing..

This dude got into beer the same way a lot of people find themselves getting deep into hobbies: a strong curiosity. He was wondering what that beer would be like if he walked into a pub 1,000+ years ago. So he set about recreating ancient beers and from the looks of it these are very unique beers, and the people seem to enjoy them…That’s just the first story here in a collection of the most bizarre beers in the world. I don’t want to spoil the rest:

The ‘oldest’ beer I’ve drunk myself was a recipe from Blue Point Brewery, the Colonial Ale. They found a copy of George Washington’s favorite beer from all the way back in 1757 and went about brewing a recreation. I was able to crack a few bottles late last Summer and I was shocked by how much I enjoyed it, so these days I’m very open to the idea of ancient beer recipes. Now, if you’ll excuse me, it’s time to go crack a beer.

In 1962, Sam Panopoulos and his brothers came up with the idea for pineapple pizza. It took decades for the wacky pizza topping to catch on and to be accepted by devout pizza disciples. Now, in one bizarre and offensive tweet, the idea of strawberry pizza took the world by storm. If pineapple pizza offends you, strawberry pizza will shake you to your core.

The “strawberries>>pineapples” tweet was RT’d over 2,000 times and Liked over 5,000 times.

However, many responses were people disgusted with the strawberry pizza.

Strawberries don’t belong on a cheap takeout mozzarella pizza. If you get a fancy pizza with strawberries, balsamic reduction, basil, arugula, and ricotta, I might, I repeat, I MIGHT, possibly take you seriously. I can’t take this festering excrescence seriously.

Whether you support pineapple pizza or despise pineapple pizza, we all need to put aside our differences to defeat this wicked abomination. See, this is the slippery slope of what happens when you accept pineapple pizza and the corrosion of society slowly takes hold. One week it’s pineapples on pizza, the next week it’s pumpkin spice pizza, then it’s peas and mayonaise pizza, then it’s strawberry pizza. I’m unnerved to imagine what’s next. Watermelon pizza? Ice cream pizza? Candy corn pizza? Somehow, strawberries didn’t make the list of the worst pizza toppings.

Over the weekend, Astros first baseman Yulieski Gurriel caused a stirmade a racist gesture after homering off Dodgers pitcher Yu Darvish. Dodgers fans have been waiting to boo Guriel and when he came to the plate Rich Hill made sure to take his time on the mound so that every fan could boo shit out of Gurriel.

So good.

If you’re a fan that brings a glove to the game and end up missing a catchable ball you gotta get the fuck out of the stadium immediately. Watch as this Dodgers fans completely whiffs on catching a home run ball which allowed the lady sitting behind him to get hit in the stomach.

I hope his buddies never let him forget about missing out on World Series home run ball because he sucks at catching.

Under Armour (UAA) reported Q3 revenue declined 4.5% YOY (to $1.41 billion) and the company reduced full-year profit and revenue expectations (to low single digits) to “reflect lower North American demand and operational challenges”; announcements that sent shares tumbling 24% (to $12.52) by Tuesday’s close. Analysts say a lack a loyalty among consumers, their failure to connect with the female demographic and their inability to compete with Nike (NKE) and Adidas (ADDYY) from a pricing standpoint, are behind the company’s issues. CEO Kevin Plank tried to put a positive spin on the quarter, saying the company’s “international business continues to deliver (revenue is up 35%) against our ambition of building a global brand”.

Howie Long-Short: UAA shares are down more than 50% this year and 75% from the company’s 2015 peak ($54.70). The company posted their first ever loss in April and Q3 sales were down for the first time since 2005. Based on CEO Kevin Plank’s comments, I’m not sure things are going to get better. Plank stated that “no one is looking for Under Armour to have the $25 hooded fleece. They want Under Armour at the $75 and $100 price points.” He’s wrong. No one in North America, particularly women and kids, want to wear the Under Armour label; certainly, not at $100. UAA is concerned about maintaining margins, but should be focused on remaining relevant.

Fan Marino: The much-anticipated Curry 4 was scheduled to drop on Friday October 27^th, but the sneaker’s release has been pushed back to November 18^th due to “last minute design changes”. Retailers aren’t pleased and shareholders shouldn’t be either. The company is banking on the Curry 4 to lead its revival. With Nike (NKE) owning 95% of the basketball sneaker market, analysts fear sneakerheads will have moved on to the next big release by then.

I have approximately zero shame in my game and no trepidation in admitting I was one of the people who carved out 9 hours last weekend to binge watch Stranger Things Season 2 on Netflix. It’s an excellent show (based on IMDB/Rotten Tomatoes and critical reviews), and chances are you concur with that statement if you clicked this article.

This season was pretty different from Season 1. The characters are older. They introduced more than a handful of awesome characters (Bob’s the hero we needed). The actress who plays Eleven is British-born Millie Bobby Brown, and she was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night where she dropped a full rap recap of Stranger Things Season 1. Hang on a second here… Is Halle Berry currently single? Okay, here we go, her divorce from that French actor Olivier Martinez became final in December 2016.

I only ask because, based on interviews and events I have seen and the things that the Academy Award winner has posted on her Instagram account since she joined the social media platform in March of 2016, she seems like a really fascinating and cool person.

I guess my point here is, the 51-year-old Berry has been involved in four serious long-term relationships, three of them marriages, and all of them have not exactly ended well.

Perhaps she needs to look in a new direction for a potential mate. Quit going after these athletes and pretty boys and settle down with just a regular Joe *cough* will fully embrace everything that she has to offer.
