Conor McGregor, the mixed martial artist and amateur boxer until Saturday night, put up quite a fight against undefeated professional boxer Floyd Mayweather. However, Conor lacked the accuracy, expertise, and stamina that the other-worldly Mayweather possesses. McGregor was on his heels and punch drunk when the superfight was called in the 10th round. Despite being smashed in the face by several brutal right punches from Mayweather and suffering a tough loss, Conor greeted his adoring fans at an after-party only hours after battling Money Mayweather.

McGregor received a hero’s welcome by more than 2,000 fans at a sold-out after-fight party. McGregor partied with his fans at the Encore Beach Club inside the Wynn on the Las Vegas Strip. The 29-year-old Irish fighter arrived around 3 a.m. on Sunday morning dressed in his usual eccentric suit and sunglasses to hide the damage that Mayweather had inflicted on his eyes.

While holding a vodka and orange, McGregor told the crowd, “You’ll never beat the Irish.” Later, Conor instructed his devoted followers to “have a whiskey,” as he held a bottle of his own ‘Notorious’ whiskey. Conor’s fans paid $200 to be in the presence of their hero and drink expensive alcohol. I’m sure they were happy to oblige. McGregor allegedly paid more than $100,000 so his entourage could drink on his tab and party in private cabanas.

Conor, enjoy a few heavy pours of Jameson, you’ve earned it.

Conor McGregor talked a big game before the fight, as he should have to generate interest in the spectacle. However, one of the many people who he insulted during the promotional tour for the fight was 50 Cent. In July, McGregor said, “50 Cent’s a bitch. You and 50 are two fake money bitches. He’s bankrupt and you’re about to be.” He brought out a copy of Jay-Z’s 4:44 album and said, “I got Floyd a gift. This is JAY-Z’s new album, the 4.44. I want you to take this, listen to it, and learn how to build a real empire, not a fake empire.”

The rapper did not forget those stinging words and was giddy to slam McGregor with some insults of his own after Mayweather smashed Conor in the 10th round of the much-hyped fight. 50 Cent sent a series of memes trolling McGregor over his defeat. Fif first hit McGregor over his constant hugging of Mayweather with this “Titanic” meme.

Then Fiddy pointed out that Mayweather is now 50-0 with a photo of his face and the caption: “I know, I know you want a rematch. Don’t worry you might get us next time but for now. It’s back to burning the money like the joker in the BANKLOL”

Then 50 Cent posted the lowlight of the fight for Conor, when he literally got the snot beat out of him. “And this is for calling me a bitch. LOL #50centralbet. Knocked the snot out your ass. ”

Lastly, 50 Cent posted a photoshopped of his “Get Rich Or Die Tryin'” album cover, but with Money Mayweather’s face on it.

Floyd Mayweather definitely lived up to his “Money” nickname as he made a ridiculous payday on Saturday night’s fight with Conor McGregor. But how much money did Floyd make? Mayweather was guaranteed $100 million and McGregor has a base pay of $30 million. Not a bad gig. Both fighters get a piece of the pay-per-view pie. Early estimates point that the Mayweather Vs. McGregor sold over 5 million subscriptions, making it the most watched PPV of all-time. Surpassing 4.6 million sold for the Mayweather Vs. Manny Pacquiao superfight back on May 2, 2015, at the MGM Grand. That was said to have $410 million in revenue and Mayweather walked away with $250 million. Plus, Mayweather and McGregor may break the ticket record that Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao set of $72 million.

Mayweather has hinted that he will make $350 million, making more in one night than any NBA or NFL player has ever made in their entire career.

Mayweather didn’t even have to put in 36 minutes of work.

Mayweather was seen flaunting his huge check on an Instagram video.

On Saturday afternoon before his big fight, Floyd Mayweather went into the M Casino sportsbook and tried to put a $400,000 bet on himself, according to a report from ESPN.

Multiple sources told ESPN that Mayweather went into the sportsbook at the M Resort in Las Vegas at around 3:30 p.m. PT Saturday with cash and plans to bet on his fight against UFC star Conor McGregor.

Mayweather attempted to place a $400,000 bet on the fight ending under 9.5 rounds at -200 odds, but according to a source, there were concerns over the legality of a fighter betting on anything other than a straight win, which caused a delay.

Mayweather then tried to bet on himself to win by knockout, but was unhappy about having to wait to place the wager and left without getting the bet down, the sources said.

Mayweather attempted to send a friend to bet the $400k on the under 9,5 rounds but was only allowed to bet $$87k

“I think that we bet 100 on 9½,” Mayweather told ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio after the fight. “I gave my guy six figures to go bet. I have to make sure he bet because earlier today I went to the sports book to bet and they wouldn’t let me bet.”

Mayweather later told SportsCenter he gave a friend $400,000 to bet, but that the friend was only allowed to place a bet for $87,000

The Season 7 finale titled “The Dragon and the Wolf” saw old friends and foes reunite, Littlefinger’s demise, a truce, treason, boatsex, Jon Snow’s real name finally revealed, and a motherfucking ice dragon in action.

The huge meeting in the dragonpits featured some of the biggest living characters remaining in “Game of Thrones.” Many of them would love to slice the throat of someone else. Sounds like good times.

Ryan Reynolds is not only one of the funniest dudes on the big screen he is also the king troll when it comes to social media. Reynolds is always ready with a quip, a joke, or a troll job anytime the occasion presents itself.

One such situation presented itself over the past weekend when his lovely and talented wife Blake Lively celebrated her 30th birthday. As is customary with celebrities, rather than just wish someone well face-to-face Reynolds also had to acknowledge Lively’s birthday on social media. Naturally, he did it in his usual fashion: by trolling the shit out of her.

“Happy Birthday to my amazing wife.”

Perfect. Of course people loved it and added jokes of their own, including one Uzo Aduba…

That’s okay, she knows how to to dish it right back to him when the time is right.

The majority of the UFC tipped its cap to Conor McGregor for a valiant 10-round effort against one of the best boxers of all-time. Eddie Alvarez said it was a “great show for the world of MMA.” Former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold tweeted at McGregor: “money well earned. Respect.” Cody Garbrandt declared the fight “lived up to the hype.”

But one MMA fighter wasn’t as complimentary, which isn’t surprising.

The irony in Jose Aldo mocking McGregor for losing is that the Brazilian was decimated back in December 2015 after McGregor sent him face-first into the canvas just 13 seconds into the match. Aldo, who previously hadn’t lost in a decade, lost his featherweight title in the bout and possibly a chunk of his dignity.

Aldo’s tweet rightfully received some criticism from fans who have yet to forget how handily McGregor owned him.

Hurricane Harvey has been sitting on top of Southern Texas for several days now, dumping more rain than the great state of Texas has ever seen before. I haven’t been glued to the Weather Channel over the weekend like I usually am whenever a hurricane hits, mostly because I’ve been dealing with flooding at home here in Sarasota, Florida, flooding that absolutely pales in comparison to what’s taking place in South Texas.

There are currently more than 30,000 people displaced from their homes in Texas because of Hurricane Harvey. There are multiple confirmed deaths. Parts of Texas have seen over 20 inches of rain since Friday and that number could climb up to FIFTY INCHES OF RAIN before the storm finally leaves the area.

The drone footage above was filmed by Brian Emfinger and featured on CNN, and it shows just how destructive Hurricane Harvey’s winds have been. After seeing this footage, if you are looking for ways to donate to Hurricane Harvey disaster relief you can just follow that link and head over to VOX where they’ve compiled a list of charities all working on relief and recovery in Texas.

Hurricane Harvey has been a disaster for Houston residents, as federal officials predict that the historic flooding will drive 30,000 people into shelters and prompt 450,000 victims to seek disaster assistance. And relief will not come immediately. Forecasters claim that rain totals could reach another 2 feet and won’t let up until week’s end at the earliest. Just one look at the drone footage reveals just how devastating the storm is.

But even in the toughest of times, it’s sometimes best to just say ‘fuck it’ and go fishing with your bare hands in what once was your living room. And that’s exactly what Saul Saldana did. The video below was captured by Saul’s daughter Viviana and has amassed almost 490,000 shares on Facebook and its easy to see why.

Good to see a dad easing his families worries with a little slapstick humor.

Remember the viral stupidity of pizza rat, a NYC subway rat spotted dragging a big slice of ‘za around a Manhattan subway station? This squirrel in Philly one-ups it, big time. Spotted in Northern Liberties this weekend, pizza squirrel dragged a big piece of cold pizza to the top of a telephone pole before having his breakfast.

It’s a highly impressive feat, when you really think about it. Good squirrel. You are truly everyone’s spirit animal.

Conor McGregor might have lost to Floyd Mayweather in their much-anticipated bout on Saturday night, but that didn’t stop the Irishman from partying like he’d walked away with the victory. I guess when you make $30 million for 30 minutes in the ring, you’re allowed to celebrate a bit.

McGregor kicked off his post-fight festivities at the podium when he bought a bottle of his own signature whiskey out with him. The master of self-promotion plugged the brand— which is called Notorious— multiple times over the course of his press conference, and said that it was only matter of time before bottles started hitting the shelves:

“I’m going to take over the Irish whiskey market – and this is delicious! Boy that whiskey tastes so good. Oh shit. Keep an eye out for it.”

This won’t be the first brand that McGregor has launched. He also owns a clothing line called August McGregor and has landed multiple sponsorship deals— including one that resulted in a ridiculous ad for a toothpaste company.

A drink expert at the Independent said that McGregor could earn $100 million or more if he plays his cards right, but that the success of the brand would be contingent the quality of the whiskey:

 “There are more celebrities attempting to strike it rich in the drinks industry than ever before, and while a famous name can shift bottles, at the end of the day it’s all about the taste. There is certainly money to be made – take the sale of George Clooney’s tequila firm Casamigos for $1bn, for example – but once the Mayweather fight hype fades, will McGregor’s notoriety be enough to sustain sales, and more importantly – will his whiskey taste any good?”

I can only hope we get to find out for ourselves sooner rather than later.

The Slow Mo Guys

The Slow Mo Guys just released a new video and this is one of my favorites yet. These dudes are famous for their YouTube channel where they film things in slow-mo HD using their 4K camera, things like giant balloons popping.

This time around The Slow Mo Guys have set up two paintball guns facing each other and are filming paintballs hitting each other in mid-air which causes the paintballs to explode. Filming paintballs exploding in slow-mo HD at any time would probably be something that I’d watch, but filming paintballs hitting each other in mid-air is somehow even more mesmerizing than I could’ve imagined:

I can’t really pinpoint what it is that’s so mesmerizing about this but I also can’t stop watching this video, so you’ll have to excuse me if I don’t do any more work for the rest of the day and have to later explain how I didn’t get shit done today because of some paintball video on YouTube….

For those of you peasants who are unaware, Whole Foods is a place where smoking hot girls walk around in yoga pants to pay $8 for organic lettuce with daddy’s credit card. I’ve been in there a couple times and everyone looked at me like they knew I was six bucks away from overdrawing my checking account.

But that could all be changing after Amazon’s widely publicized $13.7 billion acquisition of the food chain, another chess move in Jeff Bezos’ plot to rule the world. The acquisition was announced back in June, but came to fruition Monday, and shoppers are already seeing a pretty stark decrease in prices.

“Starting Monday, Whole Foods Market will offer lower prices on a selection of best-selling staples across its stores, with much more to come,” the companies said in a press release on Thursday.

Business Insider visited a Whole Foods location in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, and checked the prices on 15 items. The sample basket they assembled dropped by a total price of 23%, or $22.11.

According to Bloomberg, some prices went down as much as 43 percent on Amazon’s first day of Whole Foods ownership. The store is labeling the price cuts as “New Lower Price,” with the tag “Whole Foods + Amazon.”

Oh, and if you want an Amazon Echo, you can find it right next to the organic, grass-fed beef, naturally.
