This past weekend was the biggest weekend in Vegas in years. You know a big swinin’ Vegas gamblin’ guy like Dan Bilzerian was going to have the back of TMT, a fellow Vegas guy. So how much did Bilzerian wage and win?
We don’t know the first part of that, but we do know that he just flashed a check on Instagram from the Aria casino cage winning $342,150. That means he may have gambling over a $1 mil for that payday.

Scott Fox is the goalkeeper for Ross County in the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL). Right now, he’s probably walking around with the most bruised ego in all of Scotland after getting absolutely clowned by Alfredo Morelos at the Global Energy Stadium.
Keeper Scott Fox actually managed to make a pretty great move on the ball and steal it away, that’s when the hubris got the best of him. Instead of clearing the ball back into play he lingered, and then he had his soul destroyed. Morelos took the ball back, knocked Scott Fox to the ground, and scored the easiest goal that anyone is going to see in the SPFL this season.
Maybe, just maybe, we should cut this guy some slack. He’s a professional athlete and probably thinks he’s the cock of the walk. Sure, he forgot that his only job is to keep the ball out of the net but he’ll rebound, I’m sure. So what if he cost the team the game, right?? Shit happens, and we got a great blooper out of it. A couple of weeks back NASCAR star Danica Patrick took her yoga handstand game to a whole new level with something that looked like it was straight out of Cirque Du Soleil. While Patrick doing handstands is certainly nothing new, she has literally been sharing pics of herself doing them on the ‘gram for months, this one was extra special for its degree of difficulty.
I have now come to fully realize the “why” behind the plethora of various yoga poses, stretches and handstands she continuously posts to her Instagram. It’s because now, at age 35, with a grand total of one win under her belt in NASCAR and IndyCar combined, she is seeing her window for being employed full-time as a professional race car driver potentially closing at some point in the not-so-distant future.
Thus, still having one of the most recognizable names in sports, thanks to her breaking down many barriers for women along the way, she is getting into the fitness game with advice, clothing, and other related items. The fact that she is probably in the best shape of her life near the end of her racing career, while ironic, is a logical step in this life and business transition of hers.
Therefore we can expect to continue to see more stuff like this from Danica going forward…
And less stuff like this…

Police in Ontario are riding high (not literally) this week after putting their largest drug bust in history on display. Ontario cops seized 1,062 kilos of PURE cocaine with an estimated street value of $250 million.
The batshit crazy amount of cocaine was seized in the shape of bricks, as kilos often are, but what makes this haul of cocaine unique is how the bricks line up to form an actual wall of cocaine, and I’ll save any ‘build that wall’ jokes because they’re too easy here…The bricks of coke were actually hidden inside of rocks, which makes this even more bizarre:
According to Canada’s Global News, the $250 million worth of cocaine was found inside of shipping containers in the Port of Montreal. The containers had arrived from Argentina and were earmarked for distribution in Ontario and other parts of Canada.
These drug smugglers are getting more clever than ever. They had hidden the 1,062 kilos of pure cocaine inside of huge rocks:
“Inside of the palettes were numerous rocks. A few of the random stones would have cocaine. These stones were put together with cement and the cocaine was sealed inside,” OPP Deputy Commissioner Rick Barnum said.
“I can’t really say the source of the cocaine, to where it was actually produced,” Barnum said. “I will say there are definite connections to Mexico and the Mexican cartel.” (via)
That last part is interesting, right? This was inevitable. With the current administration shining the brightest spotlight in history on the Mexican border and drug smugglers coming into America it was only a matter of time until the Mexican cartels started bringing that cocaine into America via Canada.
I’ll be legitimately SHOCKED if we don’t see more record drug busts like this in the coming years as the pipeline of drugs into America continues to shift to areas with less pressure. (h/t Global News)

The Detroit Lions have signed quarterback Matthew Stafford to a record five-year contract extension. The new contract makes Matthew Stafford the highest-paid player in the history of the NFL. The 29-year-old Stafford was set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season, so the Lions decided to ante up. The five-year extension is worth $135 million, which includes a $50 million signing bonus and $92 million, both are guaranteed money. The deal is $10 million more than the mega-contract the Raiders gave Derek Carr. Stafford is earning $22 million this year, the last year of his three-year $53 million contract he signed in 2013.

Some argue that the Detroit Lions had no choice.

The story that has been unfolding surrounding the six-game suspension of Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott just gets more complicated by the day. Reactions to his suspension have been all over the board with even Zeke’s father throwing a twist into the saga.
Elliott has said that his ex-girlfriend is lying, has made threats and even allegedly tried to blackmail him with sex tapes.
On Tuesday, Elliott will appear in court to appeal his suspension, and while the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports the independent arbitrator is “unlikely” to dismiss Elliott’s suspension without the presentation of new evidence, he still could play in week one.
Why? Because, just like Tom Brady did with Deflategate, Elliott will more than likely take this case to the court system…
According to Pro Football Talk…
Regardless of which side initiates the litigation (in Tom Brady‘s case, it was the league that filed suit), Elliott can seek a preliminary injunction, barring the league from suspending him until the case ends. It’s not an easy move, but NFL players (starting with the StarCaps case driven by former Vikings defensive tackles Pat and Kevin Williams) have had success in this regard.
So should Elliott take his case to the courts he would almost definitely be available week one and perhaps even much longer than that. As you may recall, Tom Brady didn’t end up serving his four-game suspension until 2017 even though it was initially levied in 2016.

Conor McGregor talked such a good game that a lot of people (including me) threw a bet down on him to beat Floyd Mayweather. However, while I only lost $50, this guy lost SO MUCH MORE. He lost real estate on his body, because he now has a tattoo of Floyd Mayweather’s face on his leg.
Goddamn, that sucks. But his outlook on now having Mayweather’s face on him permanently is far more positive than I thought it would be.
Gregory says he was sitting around in his office with his business partner 5-6 weeks ago talking about the fight. Gregory is a big MMA fan and was so confident “in Conor’s belief that he could win,” that he was convinced to make the tattoo wager, he told Larry Brown Sports over the phone Monday.
Gregory bought into McGregor’s confidence so much that he took a straight-up wager even though McGregor was viewed as a heavy underdog entering what was his first professional boxing fight.
He doesn’t regret making a straight up bet, though he now cheerfully acknowledges that he was full of “pure bravado” and “just being an idiot with it” when he made the wager.
Hope these two crazy kids enjoy their time together.
Saturday night the #3 ranked Seminoles of Florida State (my alma mater) will take on the #1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in Atlanta. This will be the first college football game in Atlanta’s new Chick-fil-A Stadium, and it’s the biggest Week 1 game in the history of college football. That’s not hyperbole. You can hate Bama and FSU all you want, but never before have two teams ranked this high faced off in Week 1 of the college football season.
To hype up this game, ESPN foolishly used Taylor Swift‘s dumpster fire new song ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ in a promo video:
College football fans, myself included, are extremely not okay with ESPN using this garbage ass song to hype up the biggest Week 1 game in history. As you might expected, the Twitter reactions are nothing short of spectacular:

For The Win reached out to ESPN to see if they’d be playing Taylor Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ all season long as their official anthem of the 2017/2018 college football season but they didn’t hear back.
For the love of god, please let it only be this week. It’s already bad enough that they’re using this shitty ass song to hype up a game I’m so emotionally invested in as an alumnus and fan but I can’t go an entire season listening to this garbage at every commercial break.
Before most Americans were even eating dinner yesterday the sun was beginning to rise in Japan. At that hour of the day, the only people awake in Northern Japan‘s island of Hokkaido are the fishermen, truck drivers, elderly folk who don’t sleep, and other early risers. The average citizen was still sleeping and was probably woken in a state of absolute terror by those eerie and ominous alarms above.
North Korea flew a missile nearly 1700 miles and directly over Northern Japan in what is the most insane act of aggression we’ve seen from the most insane dictatorship in the world. The missile flying over the island of Hokkaido triggered Japan’s airstrike alarm system which alerts anyone in the area that a potential missile attack is imminent.
The missile eventually flew over Hokkaido and eventually fell apart over the Pacific Ocean, but for several minutes the inhabitants of Hokkaido Island braced for the absolute worst, and above you can hear what those terrifying alarms sounded like. (h/t DIGG Video)

Back in 2016, well before any talk of a potential megafight with Floyd Mayweather ever hit the media Conor McGregor made a seemingly ridiculous comment slash prediction about his life in 2017.
Prior to his UFC fight with Nate Diaz, McGregor met with soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo who had taken the top spot on Forbes’ highest paid athlete list for 2016 with a whopping $93 million in earnings.
At that time, while McGregor was making a generous living earning one of the highest incomes of any fighter in the UFC, he was not within sniffing distance of the kind of money Ronaldo was making. Which makes what he told Ronaldo when they met sound more like a joke than a prediction…
“You were number one on the Forbes list,” McGregor told Ronaldo in a video posted to the Dubliner’s website The Mac Life last year.
“I was like number 35 or something. I’ll get up. Maybe next year I’ll get you.” Before Ronaldo replied: “I don’t think so.”
Looks like Ronaldo is going to have to eat those words now as “The Notorious One” is set to rake in over $100 million just from his fight with Mayweather plus any additional income he will receive in sponsorship and endorsements, of which there are many.

Rob Pearson, Associate Director at Teneo PSG, says that McGregor will pass Ronaldo on next year’s list and that he could earn as much as $60 million (€50 million) in 2018 after earning $34 million (€28.4 million) last year.
“By stepping into the ring with Mayweather, McGregor made more in one night than Cristiano Ronaldo, the highest earning athlete in 2016, made in the entire year.
Heck, McGregor, as anyone who saw the post-fight press conference knows VERY WELL, is already launching his own line of whiskey and has gone into partnership with the folks who made his infamous “F*ck You” suit.
Oh, and of course, there was his brutal toothpaste ad, which probably earned him a few bucks as well. That one might not be a long-term proposition though. At least I hope not.
McGregor won’t even have to fight in 2018 and he’ll still be one of the highest paid athletes, according to Pearson…
“While the odds are against him ever landing a bigger one off payday he looks poised to cash in on his enhanced celebrity status with potential sponsorship earnings in 2018 of $30 million and a minimum of $10m for every time he steps in the octagon – $60m in 2018 is on the cards.”
I guess the next time Conor McGregor makes a wild prediction perhaps we’d all be wise to believe him.
In mid-August, the WWE world was jolted by the announcement of Ric Flair falling into a medically-induced coma before undergoing emergency surgery for “multiple organ problems.” The 68-year-old was tipped off that something was wrong after suffering from severe abdominal pains.
Flair’s fiancée, Wendy Barlow, the painted a grim picture of The Nature Boy’s condition after claiming the whole situation was a “nightmare” and encouraged his fans to pray for him. Although the specific ailment has never been publicly addressed, reports indicate that the WWE legend had a piece of his colon surgically removed due to an intestinal blockage.
But a little constipation ain’t going to tie down this monster.
On Monday night, Flair’s fiancée took to Facebook to reveal that Flair had fought out the surgery and clawed his way out of critical condition in what she deems a “miracle.”
Flair recently admitted that he has struggled with alcoholism, and his drinking habits are believed to have contributed to the health issues, reports Larry Brown Sports. Hopefully this scare will give Nature Boy the wakeup call he needs to get right. The world is a better place with him in it.

Domino’s might not make the best pizza in the world, but when you’re a little too drunk or stoned, there aren’t many things better than wolfing down an entire pie in a single sitting. However, there aren’t many things worse than having to interact with the delivery guy when you’re in an altered state of mind— which I assume a sizeable percentage of people who get Domino’s are when they place their order.
Thankfully, the company is taking steps to ensure you no longer have to scramble to hide your weed and frantically Febreeze in a paranoiac attempt to conceal your illicit activities from someone who probably couldn’t care less. The Verge reports Domino’s is teaming up with Ford to test a fleet of autonomous vehicles in the hopes of eliminating awkward interactions once and for all (and, in all likelihood, saving themselves money in the process).
However, the cars— which will hit the road in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the coming weeks— won’t be without occupants. Each Ford Fusion will contain safety officer and researchers who will focus on refining the final 50 feet of the customer’s interaction with the vehicle. People who order will be prompted to enter the last four digits of their phone number on a screen outside the car before retrieving their food from a compartment designed to keep it warm over the course of the journey.
There are a couple of ways to look at this. On the plus side, introverts will finally be able to place an order through the app or online and pick up their pizza without having to interact with a single person. Unfortunately, the lack of a delivery driver means you actually have to do things like “put on shoes” and “walk more than ten feet,” which kind of defeats the purpose of getting delivery in the first place. Is this the future of food? Only time will tell.

Derrick Lewis is the #6 ranked fight in the UFC’s heavyweight division, but what the big man from Cypress, Texas has been doing in the wake of Hurricane Harvey makes him a champion in many people’s eyes.
You see, unlike many athletes and celebrities who are just donating and raising money, which is great, Lewis has actually been outside battling freezing water and swarms of ants in Houston rescuing victims of the massive flooding taking place down there.
Lewis spoke to TMZ about his efforts…
“Basically, I’m just looking around and seeing anyone that need help.”
Derrick says he put information on his Facebook page — and if people reach out in need of assistance, he rolls out immediately … “no matter where they at.”
Lewis says he’s seen people in bad shape — and that’s why he’s motivated to keep helping.
“I believe about 30 minutes ago I just helped an elderly couple and he was covered in ants all over and he was just like trembling in his house.”
“He didn’t even worry about the ants that was all over him. He didn’t even bother to knock them off. You could tell he was in shock … the water is real cold right now.”
Those ants are no joke either…
