29-year-old Michelle Yeh was a substitute teacher at San Pedro High School when she allegedly had sex with two minors and molested two others. Currently in the process of fulfilling her four-year jail sentence, according to Daily Mail Yeh began showering one of the unnamed 15-year-olds with gifts after school finished for the summer, including an Xbox 360, a trip to the movies and more:

Soon after contacting him, the boy said she took him to the movies, tried to hold his hand and gave him $20. A week later she bought him an Xbox 360 and then made her first sexual advance.

He said: ‘She started rubbing my face, calling me cute, handsome. She started kissing me and from there we had sex.’

He felt ‘obligated’ to continue seeing her, during which she treated him like a boyfriend, he told the broadcaster.(via)

According to the unnamed boy this continued for several months; Yeh and the boy would meet, then “eat, go somewhere, come back, have sex.” It is alleged that Yeh also gave the boy alcohol, marijuana and Xanax prior to having sex.

As for the lawsuit, he claims “school officials failed to investigate claims Yeh was grooming teenage boys”:

David Ring, the boy’s lawyer, told DailyBreeze.com: ‘Sexual abuse has become an epidemic at LAUSD. This lawsuit is about holding the district accountable for its failure to properly screen, train and supervise its teachers.’

The lawsuit accuses the school of negligence, breach of mandatory duty, and failure to report suspected child abuse.

It states: ‘LAUSD was negligent in the enforcement of policies and procedures aimed at allowing a teacher under its supervision to manipulate and harm youth under the teacher’s supervision.

‘Had [officials] properly investigated, supervised, trained, and monitored Yeh’s conduct and actions as a teacher on campus at San Pedro High School, they would have discovered that she was unfit to be employed as a teacher.’(via)

The case is currently ongoing.
