Terrell Owens, the controversial wide receiver who played for the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles, announced tonight that he missed out on being a first ballot hall of famer after not getting enough votes for induction.
Owens is a no-brainer as a hall of famer based on numbers alone. Owens ranks second in receiving yards (15,934), third in receiving touchdowns (153), while being sixth in receptions all-time.
Of course the reason Owens was left out because people didn’t like his attitude and considered him a distraction off the field. But seriously, being inducted into the hall of fame should be about the numbers and not the about feelings of the writers who vote for this stuff.
