It hasn’t really been a good couple years for Byron Scott since he returned to the Los Angeles Lakers as head coach.

Scott, who began his playing career with the team in 1983 and suited up for the purple and gold for 11 seasons, has failed to turn things around, compiling a pathetic record of just 30-98 in his one-and-a-half seasons.

That’s bad, but things seem like they’re getting worse for the guy, as his Instagram account is the subject of, potentially, some cyber bullying, as Scott (or someone from his account) threatened a fan who challenged him to a fight after seeing the video above of the coach sparring in boxing gloves.

As one might expect, the coach instantly denied any wrongdoing, not only blaming the comments on someone hacking into his account and writing them, but also posting a message onto IG to try and clear the air.

Believe what you want to, but with the Lakers shitting the bed again this season and tension always high in Lakerland, I wouldn’t be surprised if Scott actually wrote these himself—or “accidentally” left his password to his account out for someone to write down his exact thoughts.

Maybe Byron Scott is telling the truth, but part of me kind of feels like he’s full of bullshit and wants to hammer punch some fan shit-talking him.
