Police in Sarasota, Florida, are currently searching for four men after a gas station security camera captured them unloading a fury of punches and kicks on a store clerk in the parking lot of establishment. The clerk was attacked after he reportedly denied the men purchase of a cigar, because they couldn’t produce identification. Since that’s a great reason to beat someone up…that’s assault, brotha!
According to the Sarasota Police Department, four men tried to buy a cigar at the Exxon/Mobil at 2525 Tamiami Trail N. at about 9 p.m. on Nov. 12. The clerk said the four were unable to provide identification, so he denied the purchase. They argued with the clerk and left.
The four returned later and confronted the clerk when he was taking out trash. One of the men was recorded by a security camera punching the clerk, who then attempted to protect himself and wrestled the man to the ground, police say. The other three men joined the fight, punching and kicking the clerk multiple times before leaving.
Oh man, you won’t sell me a cigar to roll a blunt in, so now I’m going to fight you over it! People these days, I’ll tell ya.
And before you even begin to argue that, people who smoke cigars don’t buy them at gas stations. People who use “cigars” to smoke weed do. Common knowledge. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, other than it’s a totally petty reason to jump someone and pulverize the shit out of them, just because you didn’t have the requisite ID to legally purchase your blunt wrap.
Hopefully Sarasota Police are able to find and arrest these thugs, because this kind of thing…it’s not chill.
