While there have been some strides in a handful of states in the U.S., marijuana is still illegal in many places in the world. Even medicinal marijuana is outlawed despite showing evidence that it can help people suffering from certain diseases. Ian Frizell exposed his vulnerabilities on a YouTube video to spotlight how cannabis helps with his suffering from Parkinson’s.
The 55-year-old British man was diagnosed with the disease in 2011, but the debilitating symptoms have become worse and worse. Ian explains how he underwent deep brain stimulation surgery earlier this year. The evasive procedure inserts a medical implant in his body and helps him with his Parkinson’s by releasing meds into his system. However, the medicine does have drawbacks.
“What you are seeing here is my Parkinson’s tremor with absolutely no medication whatsoever,” he says as he shakes violently. “I cannot tolerate the prescription medication for Parkinson’s disease. They make me feel extremely unwell.”
Ian then takes a small amount of medicinal cannabis to show the miraculous improvement it can have on his disease. Ian has nearly no shaking after vaping some weed.
“It’s now 20 minutes since I self-medicated with approximately 30mg of marijuana, which is just a small pinch, taken using a vaporizer’ he says. “And you can see that my tremor has calmed down significantly. In fact, it’s almost completely under control.”
Ian reveals, “The sense of relief is overwhelming.”
Legalize it.
