San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick continued his kneeling protest of the national anthem in his first regular game of the season.
Kaepernick was again joined by teammate Eric Reid, who knelt next to him while the anthem played. Both players were joined by Eli Harold and Antonie Bethea of the 49ers who raised their fists along with Robert Quinn and Kenny Britt of the Los Angeles Rams.
Kaepernick says he will continue to kneel for the national anthem throughout the season in protest of police brutality within the African American community and to raise awareness for racial inequality.
