If it’s on the internet it must be true, right? BZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Wrong.
Case in point, Twitter has been all lit up after a report surfaced that Margot Robbie and Emma Watson are going to be making a lesbian sequel to Brokeback Mountain.
While we would be ALL FOR such a thing happening there’s one problem: the report is from a satire site called The Portly Gazette.
The story really laid it on thick too…
Emma Watson had this to say:
“I am honoured and blessed to get the opportunity to play a character very different from myself. I think taking on personas with completely different experiences than yourself is what acting is at its core. From what I’ve seen, the script and the other people involved with this, I think we’re going to make a marvellous film.”
Margot Robbie was equally exhilarated
“As an Australian actor, this obviously means a lot to me. I hope to do the Heath Ledgers’ role justice.”
When asked what they were expecting from some of the more raunchy girl-on-girl scenes that are inevitable, they didn’t seem to have any qualms.
“Us both being straight won’t be a problem, we’re actors, it’s just something we have to do“.
Naturally, since people will believe what they want to believe and trust me, I WANT TO BELIEVE because I would watch the shit out of this movie, it began trending on Twitter with hilarious results…
You know why you didn’t see it coming? Because it isn’t.
BUT IT SHOULD. C’mon Hollywood, let’s make this happen since you are obviously all about sequels and reboots these days anyway.
