For whatever reason—mainly because of the difficulty to work with it—titanium hasn’t been a metal that carmakers have used. That is, until now, after the Icona Vulcano was introduced earlier today.

The car, which has a top speed of 220 miles per hour, isn’t just mega light on its feet, but packs a hell of a lot of power behind, too, using a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine—the same as a Corvette ZR1—has 670 horsepower and 620 lb.-ft. of torque, and can accelerate from 0-60 in a lightning fast 2.8 seconds.

Here’s what the car’s design director, Samuel Chuffart, said about the inspiration behind the automobile, per Maxim:

“When you’re trying to create a feeling of aesthetic harmony,” said Chuffart, “You risk creating too many sweet lines, which decreases the feeling of power. On the other hand, if you make too much of the powerful features which are necessary to a super sports car such as its cooling cutouts and blades which manage the air flow, they become graphically too dominant, and this makes the car less beautiful. The way we found the right balance was usually by looking for the greatest simplicity.”

And while the Vulcano is, arguably, your new favorite car and definitely on your wish list, get ready to save your money in order to try and buy one—because Icona is set to build three different Vulcanos priced at an absurd $2.8 million apiece. So, yeah, this might be as close as you get to ever being behind the wheel of one.
