It’s kind of amazing how much culture has progressed in the last 10 years. In 2006, you couldn’t turn on TV without flipping through a thousand reality shows, from MTV’s True Life to Real World to Survivor to Rock Of Love on VH1. Reality TV is still plenty popular, but the recipe is so contrived and tired that it exists only on channels that fetishize other people’s lifestyles, like Bravo or the Kardashians on E!.
Reality TV in other countries, however, is off the rails. Like this moment on a Russian “touch-the-car-to-win-it” reality show. This guy straight up brutally attacks a female contestant. Hopefully he was arrested for assault, because it’s extremely unchill.
