Poop Cafe, Toronto’s first toilet-themed dessert bar, is scheduled to open in the city’s Koreatown section in mid-August. The cafe’s owner Lien Nguyen got the idea when she visited her mother in Taiwan a couple years ago and was inspired by a toilet-themed restaurant there named, “Modern Toilet”. They don’t serve any of that old school shit. This ain’t yo’ granddaddy’s dookie.
In an interview with The Toronto Star, Nguyen talked about why, God, why she decided to pursue this poopery: “It’s funny to put food and poop together; it’s a great comparison.” Is it, though? Lien also said she’s “trying to make poop cute”. Okay, well, a poop emoji is cute. Because it has eyeballs and a smile. And it doesn’t reek to high heaven and make you gag and wonder how it all got to that point.

All the food stuff will be shaped and colored like ca-ca and served in a dish that looks like a toilet. Sadly, this isn’t the first of its kind, there are several around the globe.
