The experiment is over in Philadelphia. Today, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie sent out a press release announcing the firing of head coach Chip Kelly.
Coming out of college as an offensive genius for the Oregon Ducks, Chip Kelly has missed the playoffs for the second year in a row as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles after making a series of questionable personnel decisions and clashing with players in the locker room.
The firing isn’t much of a surprise considering how much Kelly has been crushed this past season for not living up to the hype put upon him but it will be interesting to see if Chip finds another job in the NFL or looks into going back to the college game.
