Former NASCAR driver Mike Wallace of the famous Wallace racing family and his daughter were the victims of a random attack after attending a Rascal Flatts concert on Friday night.
Wallace says that he was in the parking lot after the show when someone approached him and asked him if he liked the show, reports WSOC.
It was then that a group of people started screaming at him and began attacking him. His grown daughter, who was also with him, tried to defend her dad only for the group to then turn their attack on her, reportedly kicking her in the head.
“The next thing I know, that I remember, is getting punched in the face. When they did hit me, it knocked me out. I was on the ground, I could feel myself getting beat, but I couldn’t feel the intensity of it,” said Wallace.
Wallace’s brother Kenny shared this shocking photo on Facebook along with harsh words for the attackers…
The worst part, according to Mike Wallace, was not the pain he endured, resulting in 12 stitches and the loss of three teeth, but the fact that his daughter was attacked.
“I woke up. I see my daughter laying on the ground, which is devastating for a father. I mean, that’s the worst thing in the world,” said Wallace.
Three men were arrested in connection with the attack and all were released on bond with a court date scheduled for July 22nd.
