At Seattle Pacific University in 2014, a gunman killed one person and wounded two others in a rampage that could have been much, much worse.
The reason the death toll was so low? A hero bro who pepper sprayed the shooter while he was reloading.
The just released video, from the King County Prosecuting Attorney, shows a man, identified as Aaron Ybarra, entering Otto Miller Hall. He fires at one girl, then, while he is reloading, student-safety monitor Jon Meis comes around the corner, pepper sprays him, tackles his ass, and takes away his shotgun.
What a fucking boss.
According to the Seattle Times, Ybarra “was charged with one count of premeditated first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of second-degree assault.”
His trial is slated to begin in September.
The Associated Press published the full video, which you can watch here, but, WARNING, it includes a girl being shot. She was seriously wounded, but survived.
