Claudia Patricia Giraldo Ossa, a prison director in Colombia, is now under investigation after photos emerged of her twerking and dancing with inmates during a “cultural event” thrown by her prisoners. According to The Sun, Ossa’s colleagues say that she “had not intended to perform at the event” and that she had gotten “carried away when inmates called for her to get up on a makeshift stage”:
Officials say she now faces a disciplinary inquiry at her jail.
The scandal emerged as Colombia’s new Minister of justice, Jorge Londono, declared a state of emergency in the country’s prisons.
Overcrowding is said to be causing severe problems with drug abuse and violence with most jails struggling with occupancy levels of more than 150 per cent.(via)
Local media reports that Ossa has not commented on the scandal, however the photos don’t make it look TOO bad…
