If you were organizing a mega concert featuring the greatest living rock icons of all-time you would not be wrong for including the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who. Well, an actual greatest concert of all-time might go down with that exact mind-blowing lineup.

Goldenvoice, the organizers of the Coachella Music Festival, are reportedly in talks to bring those incredible six Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees to the Empire Polo Field site in Indio, California on October 7th through 9th for one epic mega concert.

Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones would allegedly kick off the once-in-a-lifetime concert on Friday with back-to-back sets; Saturday would feature Neil Young and the Promise of the Real performing before McCartney’s set later that night, and the Who and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters would close out the extraordinary experience on Sunday.

The all-world headline acts are expected to be paid $7 million each for their sets.

“It’s so special in so many ways,” Young’s longtime manager Elliot Roberts reportedly told The LA Times. “You won’t get a chance to see a bill like this, perhaps ever again. It’s a show I look forward to more than any show in a long time.”

This would be an absolutely fascinating performance, but not completely unheard of. In July 1985, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Ronnie Wood all performed at the Live Aid event in Philadelphia.

No word on whether it will be sponsored by Life Alert of Klein”s Funeral Home.

If you can’t wait until October, here are the best music festivals this summer.
