VICE interviewed Whitney Bell, an LA-based photographer who recreated her home with approximately 200 framed dick pics hung around her stuff for her art show “I Didn’t Ask For This: A Lifetime of Dick Pics” and depending on the guy who pressed ‘send’, it’s either your worst nightmare or a dream come true.
Face it, if you’re sending a dick pic, you’re pretty proud of the punch you’re packing. So, my knee-jerk reaction to this is most, if not all, of the guys would be on board. Furthermore, the people seeing this exhibit want to see it. As much as this should be a cautionary tale, I feel like to get the point across and get guys to stop sending unsolicited dick pics, you have to hit them where it hurts – like slip it into their powerpoint presentation at work or during the slideshow after Thanksgiving dinner with the fam.
Still, it’s a great idea. How did she get the idea?
“VICE: So tell me how this all started.
Whitney Bell: It all sort of began with a really beautiful dick shadow picture I was sent by a guy I was seeing. I sent it to one of my friends who said, “That picture is so beautiful it should be in a museum.” That’s when I thought of having a gallery of dick pics.”
Though we can’t show you her exhibit – you’d have to go to LA before April 17th for that – I highly recommend following her on Instagram, especially if you enjoy The Simpsons, Beavis & Butt-head, Daria, Bob’s Burgers, Miller Lite, vintage Playboys, and not wearing bras. Here’s just a taste of what you can expect…
Emily Ratajkowski …
Vintage pin-ups…
Zero f*cks…
