We’ve all been there before. You put something for sale on Craigslist and then, when it comes time for the person to pick it up, you think, “Shit, this motherfucker is going to kill me. Especially when he sees that this item looks nothing like the description or photo. Yep, today is the day I die at the hands of a man who just wanted to buy an end table but I lead him to murder.”
Although that “gonna die” thought is ever present in your head, that’s never what happens. Eventually, the person comes all the way to your house and winds up buying it — WITHOUT MURDERING YOU!!! — mostly because they didn’t want to leave empty handed after all that effort. That is something to always keep in mind when you sell on Craigslist. And it’s something our friend Pete here reminds us about in his teachings. You see, Pete is a struggling actor, armed with a wild and crazy outlook on life, who does what he can to get by. Even if that means acquiring people’s unwanted junk, polishing that junk and then selling it for a profit on Craigslist.
In the very first episode of Pete’s Place, Pete teaches us how to sell just about anything on Craigslist, and how to do it without getting murdered. It’s very valuable information.
