This casual seafood chain dropped a fucking dirty bomb when they put out a lynching photo as decor bros.
On a fine and seemingly innocent Wednesday evening Tyrone Williams and Chuantyll Allen sat down in Roseville, Minnesota but were struck with a damn ignorant-humanity-face-slap when they caught sight of the historical image, captioned “Hanging at Groesbeck, Texas, on April 12th, 1895.” An additional blurb, placed next to the lynching victim, read, “All I said was that I didn’t like the Gumbo.”
Read and weep bros:
David Catalano, spoke on behalf of Joe’s Crab Shack, and unleashed a well-warranted apology: “We understand one of the photos used in our table décor at our Joe’s Crab Shack location in Roseville, MN was offensive,” Catalano told KARE-TV. “We take this matter very seriously, and the photo in question was immediately removed. We sincerely apologize to our guests who were disturbed by the image and we look forward to continuing to serve the Roseville community.”
