There might be rumors about Kyrie Irving’s unhappiness in Cleveland, but, regardless if true or not, one place he’ll always hold dear to his heart is Duke University, where the former No. 1 overall pick played for a season before turning pro.
After the Dukies wore a customized look of Irving’s “Kyrie 2” against Pitt the other day, Nike announced the release date for the next version in the “alma mater” series—and, no joke, I’ll actually get myself a pair of these once they hit stores in a few days.
There might be a lot of shade towards the Dukies because, well, they’re Duke, but I’d proudly wear these “Kyrie 2’s” around, even if that means getting taunted by more than a few people—especially around tournament time.
With that color scheme and the nice clean look all over the entire shoe, these kicks are straight fire, so be prepared to wait in line somewhere once Nike releases them on March 5th.
