I don’t claim to be a smart man. I just recently learned that the hole in the cap of pens is to keep it from drying out. Always thought that that was a manufacturing malfunction. Some nice old lady eased my panic attack on a plane by telling me that the windows have small holes on the bottom to compensate for air pressure. I was legit calling my mom to tell her I love her. And it wasn’t too long ago that I learned that a tube sock can be used as a masturbation mechanism. Just kidding, I figured that out when I was like 12.
In any event, it’s always a mindfuck to find out that there’s more that meets the eye to objects most of us use everyday.
And for you meal preppers out there, this one may blow your goddamn mind.
Most of us have ignored that circular indent in the lid of Glad tupperware containers. Chalked it up to a trivial brand design. Well, that thing is actually intended to prevent your salads from getting soggy.
As pointed out by Facebook user Sara Rose recently discovered, that indent serves as a meta lid to attach dressings and sauces to.
My default thinking is that I’m an idiot and everyone already knows this, but judging on how viral this is going, I’m not the only jackass. Sarah’s post has been liked over 33,000 times and shared over 180,000 times.
Now I just need to start eating salads.
