While the rest of the NFL has been tying up loose ends on the field to prepare for the start of the season, the inmates are running the asylum in Dallas. In light of All-Pro running back Ezekiel Elliott’s six-game suspension for an alleged domestic violence incident from 2016, Dallas’ own Dallas Morning News has illuminated the epidemic of violations and suspensions its Cowboys have brought on itself in recent years.

Since the start of the 2014 season the Cowboys are by the most suspended team, both in terms of the number of suspensions (16) and total games suspended (106). And it’s not even close. A total of zero other teams have lost more than 55 player-games to suspension.

Since 2014, the Cowboys have been punished by the NFL 15 times in 36 months on suspensions that have totaled 106 games, with a special thanks to DE Randy Gregory and LB Rolando McClain.

Check out this mind-bending chart via the Morning News, and this was before the Ezekiel suspension was upheld.

If you’re the Cowboys, it’s gotta be tough to focus on the Giants Sunday when you don’t know who the hell you’re going to have available to play.

Have some standards, Jerry. And that’s coming from a Patriots fan who once bought the jersey of a guy who would eventually become a serial killer.
