A behind-the-scenes video shows a very emotional Conor McGregor apologize to Dana White following the much-hyped fight with Floyd Mayweather. The usually brash and outspoken Irishman was rather subdued and humbled by the loss to Mayweather last weekend in Las Vegas. With his wife and baby at his side, Mystic Mac told the UFC boss that he was sorry for losing to Money Mayweather, but White congratulated Conor on giving it his all. After suffering a 10th round technical knockout at the speedy hands of Mayweather, backstage footage caught the moment that the UFC President consoled McGregor.
McGregor: “I’m sorry man.”
White: “Sorry?”
McGregor: “Yea.”
White: “Dude I’m ecstatic. Very, very f*cking badass! I am telling you, you’re unbelievable!”
McGregor is expected to shelve the boxing gloves and return to the octagon for his next fight, and possibly a third fight with Nate Diaz at UFC 219.
